Wen-Juan Ma’s ERC Inaugural Lecture: What the Frog?! When Sex Chromosomes Refuse to Age on May 4th
04/04/26 12:10
We are delighted to share that Wen-Juan will deliver her ERC inaugural lecture on 4 May 2026 at 5:00 pm in the Green Room, U-Residence, VUB campus.
Titled What the Frog?! When Sex Chromosomes Refuse to Age, the lecture will explore the remarkable diversity of sex chromosome systems across the Tree of Life, the major open questions surrounding their origin and evolution, and why frogs provide such powerful models for understanding these processes.
This lecture will also introduce the ERC project FROGWY, which investigates the evolutionary genomics of unconventional sex chromosomes and their broader implications for adaptation and evolution.
Registration is free but required.
