Congratulations to our two lab mates Barbora Augstenová, and Ezgi Unal for receiving a short-stay and long-stay FWO travel grants respectively!
The travel grant will support Barbora to visit the lab of Yann Guiguen in France! Ezgi will be able to visit Aurora Ruiz-Herrera’s lab in Barcelona for 3.5 months later this year! Yeah, go, girls!

Wen-Juan gave two seminars in Vienna

Wen-Juan was invited to give two seminars this Spring in Vienna: one at PopGene Vienna of Vienna Graduate School of Population Genetics on 09/April/2025, and the second one at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) on 10/April/2025. The seminar was entitled "The evolution of sex chromosomes and sex determination in frogs".
It was super fun and very inspiring discussions with various topics! Quite intense yet very much rewarding as a researcher
